Henry Cele (1949-2007) [1] was a South African television and film actor.

Born:January 30, 1949 in Durban, South Africa. Soccer player who turned actor and shot to prominence when he portrayed Chaka in Bill Faure’s epic television series Shaka Zulu (1986). He also played the lead in the musical production of King Afrika (PACT-Lindberg,1988).

Awards, etc.

He was posthumously honoured with a Siyabakhumbula Award for the Arts in 2011.
