Henriëtta Gryffenberg (1964- ) is a South African actress, playwright and television scriptwriter, best known for her role in the Afrikaans drama series Sonkring and for writing the screenplay for the Afrikaans television drama series Erfsondes, which premiered on SABC2 in 2007.

Training

She studied Drama at the University of Pretoria.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student she had a role in a production of People are Living There (1986).

Working for PACT she appeared in Dalk (1988), Antjie Somers and I (1989), Taraboemdery (1989), Plastics (1993).

Subsequent roles on stage include Die Papegaaivrou (1990), the pantomime Jan en die Boontjierank (1991), Droomsmokkelaar (1993), Keely and Du (1997), Briewe aan 'n Rooi Dak (Aardklop 2001), Desnieteenstaande (Aardklop 2003), Sophia Mentz Beredder Haar Boedel (Aardklop 2007).

Henriëtta assisted as director of Dood van 'n Verkoopsman (2010) and directed Die Uitnodiging at Innibos in 2019.

She wrote the one-act play Dis nie my Bybie nie and the cabaret Swartskaap.
