(b. Melbourne, 04/04/1857 - d. **/**/****). Originally C.M.J. Edwards, Grant Fallowes was an actor with the Lyric Company from England, which performed the opening show at the newly built Opera House, Cape Town in 1893. Returned to South Africa in 1898 with the the first Leonard Rayne company and became best known as Leonard Rayne’s stage and business manager. Was married to the actress Annie Leaf. (Fletcher, 1994)
