Fiona Chisholm () was a Cape Town based journalist, ballet and theatre reviewer and arts editor.

Biography

The daughter of composer Erik Chisholm and his wife Diana, she was born in Glasgow. Sister to Sheila Chisholm and Morag Chisholm. They came to South Africa in 1946 when their father was appointed Principal and Dean of the College of Music at the University of Cape Town. She was married to journalist and yachtsman Brian Blaine Lello (1916-1995).

Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance

Respected arts critic at the Cape Times for many years and later arts editor for the newspaper.

She was a long time judge of the Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards and in 2001 herself received the Fleur du Cap Lifetime Award for her contribution to the industry. Also a panelist for the Cape Amateur Theatre Awards (CATA), whose "Fiona Chisholm Cup for Best Cameo in a Play" is awarded annually.
