(b. 21/05/1919 – d. 16/11/1983). Sound recordist. Also credited as D. Geerdts & D.H. Geerdts.

Biography

Douglas Haigh Geerdts was a sound recordist employed by African Film Productions during the 1940s and 1950s and worked on both features and documentaries. Afterwards he owned the Douglas Hotel in Bethal. His first wife, Hilda, was a wardrobe mistress on several features and was also a make-up artist.
