Die Buite-Egtelike Ouma ("The illegitimate grandma") is an Afrikaans farce by Nico Luwes (1954-).

The original text

A comedy about a dentist who has a bit of a boisterous night out before leaving for England for a year. On his return he is visited by a young woman who looks vaguely familiar, plus his excited mother and his friend, bearing a special bottle of champagne. Chaos ensues.

Translations and adaptations

Adapted by the author for a male lead and renamed Die Buite-Egtelike Oupa ("The illegitimate grandfather") in 2013.
