(19*-) British stage and film director. ** He came to South Africa in 1955 to make the film Hans die Skipper for African Films, a company he remained with for many years. In this time he also directed Philip King’s See How They Run for the East Rand Theatre Club in 1955, and went on to work regularly for them.
