Started in Pretoria (with Volksteater?*), then moved to Cape Town (K.A.T.?*). Husband of Hélène Pienaar-De Klerk.

Wrote Die Ring, a one-act play, with Hélène Pienaar-De Klerk; the one-act play Die Verstoteling; the one-act play Plaas Toe.

He translated the play Grumpy into Afrikaans with the title Oupa Brompie as well as The Happiest Days of Your Life entitled Onnies en Ouers.
