André is an Afrikaans play by Temple Hauptfleisch (1945-)

Not to be confused with Andre, an American tragedy in five acts about the court martial of Major John André (1751-1780), written by William Dunlap (1766-1839) and performed in New York by the Old American Company on March 30, 1798.

A play about the rise and tragic fall of a fictitious Afrikaans actor, the text was submitted and shortlisted for Amstel Playwright of the Year Award. The text was published in 1985 by (Human and Rousseau, Cape Town).
