Almeda K. Rae (19*-). Dancer and theatre academic.

She studied at the University of Pretoria and wrote one of the earliest masters’ degree dissertations on Athol Fugard entitled Dialogue and Characterization in the Plays of Athol Fugard in 1971. It was based on valuable early interviews with the actor-writer-director. She later used her married name of Kay Rive, when she set up a dance studio in Pretoria.
