GROBLER, Diek (19**- ). A South African painter, graphic artist and performance artist [1]. Holds a BA Fine Arts degree from the University of Pretoria (1987) and a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand (1996). Has exhibited professionally since 1988 and his work is included in several major public and corporate collections. Grobler is involved in avant garde theatre, and has his own performance company, Fopspeen Live Art, working under the name Fopspeen Moving Pictures since 2004 [2]. His Ararat was staged as part of the main festival program at the KKNK in 2000.
