JENKINS, Tauriq. (19**) Actor and poet. Born in Zimbabwe, he studied at the University of Cape Town. Theatre roles in The House of Kulumba (20**), Othello, Buckingham Palace, District Six, The Trojan Women, Les Splendids, The Passions, King Lear (Roy Sergeant, 20**), Oedipus (Roy Sergeant, 20**), Bacchae (Roy Sergeant, 20**), Macbeth (Maynardville, 20**), Hamlet (Mark Hoeben, 20**), Antigone (Baxter Theatre 2004), Much Ado about Nothing (Maynardville, 2005), Hamlet (Baxter 2005), Amadeus (Baxter, 2006), **.. Film work includes The Mercenary. His two volumes of poetry, Uncle Bob and Djuranovi have been published internationally. He became the Deputy General Sectretary of the Performing Arts Network of South Africa (PANSA) in 20**).
