The Good and Obedient Young Man is a one-act play by Betty Barr and Gould Stevens.

The original text

Subtitled A Play in the Japanese Manner, it was first published by Samuel French in 1931.

Presented by the Repertory Theatre Society, later known as the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society performed on 28 September 1931 in a double bill with Ile (O'Neill).
