The Good Old Days can also refer to a 1940 British comedy (set in 1840), a popular BBC television light entertainment television program which ran from 1953 to 1983 or a 1996 Hong Kong drama series set in the early 20th century,


The Good Old Days? by Liz Dobson

Based on actual events, we see care home resident Ada relate her personal history to the rather flippant young cub reporter Claire, who at first is there on sufferance. As Ada's tragic story enfolds, Claire becomes increasingly interested and empathetic, and realises that her naïve impression of the old days belies the inherent prejudices which existed to shape and ruin people's lives.
