Mr Jeffries (fl. 1850s) was an amateur actor.

Biography

He was a marine officer aboard the H.M.S. Boscawen, a leading member of the Boscawen Amateurs, praised for though he may also have been a Cape Town resident.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He is specifically mentioned as the lead Don Caesar de Bazan, but almost certainly also appeared in the various pieces performed by the Boscawen Amateurs company between 29 June 1858 and May 1859.
