Shona Ferguson was a creative director, producer, writer and actor.

Born Aaron Arthur Ferguson in Gaborone, Botswana,


He became affectionately known as “Uncle Sho” in the media industry, and was married to actress and producer Connie Ferguson. He and Connie founded Ferguson Films. They have two daughters, one from Connie’s previous marriage.

His company made drama series and telenovelas for Mzansi Magic, which included The Queen, Rockville, The Wild, iGazi and The Imposter, and the Netflix series Kings of Joburg. He himself acted in a number of productions including The Queen and The Kings of Joburg..

In June 2021 Ferguson Films announced the launch of its acting academy.



Ferguson died on 30 July 20921 due to COVID-19 related complications.
