Die Clown is a play by Fransi Phillips (1958-)

The original text

A adaptation of the short surrealistic novella Sewe en Sewentig Stories oor 'n Clown ("Seventy-seven stories about a clown", 1983) by Fransi Phillips, by Phillips and director Ilse van Hemert. The book was short-listed for the Rapport Prize for Literature in 1986.

1984: First performed (as Die Clown) at the PACT Potpourri Festival, directed by Ilse van Hemert.
