Performance history in South Africa

1862: Performed by the Amateurs of the Band (North Lincolnshire Regiment of Foot) as Poses-De-Vaux on June 5, featuring J. M'Kechnie (M. Trimulus Tomkins), J. Davies (Miss Polly Hopkins), J. Durney (Sophia, her maid). The evening also included two more plays, Slasher and Crasher (Morton) and The Spectre Bridegroom (Moncrieff).
