Philip C. Claassen (1973-) is a South African born scriptwriter and actor.

Also billed as Philip Cristian Claassen


Biography

Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on January, 28th 1973 He is an actor known for his role as Arno in the fantasy series "Charlie Jade" (2005) and in South Africa, he studied at the Zoli Marki Drama School and the Robin Williams Drama Academy (1990) and the Pretoria Technikon, completing a National Diploma in Performing Arts (Drama) (4years)(1997). He now resides and works in Wellington, New Zealand.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

During his time at the Technikon he wrote some one-act plays and short scripts, including Oom Johannes se Huis, The Tunnel (Glass Crown Award, Best Original Script), As die Skoen jou Pas…, Horror of the Soap Operas and a TV Pilot Wreck Hunters. He was scriptwriter for the South African TV series Egoli.
