Isicathamaya[Kruger]/isicathameya[Larlham]/isicathamiya[Orkin]. (The Zulu name means “walking like a cat”.) A popular “soft-shoe” dance form developed by the Zulu migrant workers, and performed as a competitive form in the cities. Adopted and adapted by the renowned musical group Ladysmith Black Mambazo for their performances, as well as being utilized in a variety of other acts and plays. “walking like a cat”.
