Mr W. Cameron (17**-18**) was a British soldier and amateur actor.

Biography

A member of the 72 Highlanders regiment stationed in Cape Town, he was a performer in a production by the Highland Amateur Party in the barracks.

Played "Sir Spangle Rainbow" in Paul Pry and "Mr Selbourne" in A Roland for an Oliver on 5 September (year unknown, though Bosman cites Groom, 1899, and suggests it must have been some time between 1823 and 1828).
