Vivian Solomons (1952-1984). History teacher, Actor.

Biography

Vivian died as the result of a car accident in April 1984. It was alleged that he wasn't properly attended to in hospital as attempts were first made to establish his race.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He starred in Barney Simon’s production of Athol Fugard’s Statements After an Arrest Under the Immorality Act with Wilma Stockenström at the Market Theatre in 1979, and in 1981 did Adam Small's Kanna hy kô Hystoe with Wilna Snyman and Die Koopman van Venesië for PACT, both in the State Theatre – 1981.

In 1983 he became a television announcer on the SABC's channel TV1.
