Modern Stage Directions collection of plays for South African schools and universities, compiled and edited by Stephen Gray and David Schalkwyk, published in Cape Town by Maskew Miller Longman 1984.
Contains several plays by international writers such as Bennett, Synge, Lady Gregory, Yeats, Williams, Baxter, Pinter, Campton and Beckett, as well as the following plays by South African writers:
The Peacemaker (Stephen Black), The Rendezvous (Bob Leshoai), Bar and Ger (Geraldine Aron), The Semblance of the Real (Douglas Livingstone) and Mille Miglia (Athol Fugard).
