Biography
She was born in Paarl in 1970, matriculated in Durbanville and started her studies at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in 1988. She graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in 1991 and completed a master's degree in theatre management in 1997.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she assisted Juanita Swanepoel in directing a UTS production of WAM (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) (1991).
She is the creator of the character Dowwe Dolla, which she has performed since 1992. Besides the texts for the Dowwe Dolla series of one-woman performances, she has written (or co-written, and often directed) numerous theatre texts, including:

She was the winner of a FNB Vita Award (Free State region, 2000/2001) in the category Best Performance in a Comedy for Dowwe Dolla.
