John Fernald. British director and head of RADA.

He visited South Africa with his wife Jenny Laird, to direct Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard for the Johannesburg REPS in 1963. Toerien-Firth Company got him to direct Hildegard Neil in a revival of Private Lives, at the Intimate Theatre in 1974.
