Born George Charles Gunn in 1914, but used the names Anton de Waal as nom de plume. Died December 21st, 1974.


He often collaborated with musician/composer Nico Carstens, producing some of Carsten's best known works. They also collaborated on two musicals,



He donated an annual trophy for the best male actor on the Johannesburg and Pretoria stage (administered as part of the DALRO Awards).
