Mr J. Herholdt(17**-18**) was an amateur performer in Cape Town.

He was a member of C.E. Boniface's society, Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense for which he appeared as "De Muphti" in the De Burger Edelman (Moliére) on 13 Ap[ril 1825.

Later (1855) a Mr Herholdt is mentioned as member of and possibly a leader of Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst, who gave a speech complimenting the audience after a performance of Hariadan Barbarossa (Fallee) and De Deserteur (Von Kotzebue) on 26 April, 1855.
