Born in South Africa, he left for England where he made a good career as a vaudeville performer and impressionist under the pseudonym of Afrique. Married to Jean Witkin (Harris).
Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance
He made one of his earliest appearances before leaving the country, performing in the Sir Harry Graumann Lodge, Benoni with Barbara Cowen.
In 1938 he toured South Africa with Larry Adler.
