A French prose comedy in one act by Pierre-René Lemonnier (1731-1796), first performed in 1768 and published in 1770.
There are variations in spelling , for the 1770 cover page has: "La meuniere de Gentilly : comédie en un acte, mélée d'ariettes / par M. Le Monier, représentée, pour la premiere fois par les Comédiens Italiens ordinaires du Roi, le jeudi 13 octobre 1768." (Published: A Paris : Chez Merlin, 1770) while the 2011 Amazon paperback version has "La Meunière De Gentilly: Comédie En Un Acte, Mêlée D'ariettes..." and writes the author's name Pierre-René Lemonnier
