Liz Szymczak (19**- ) is a South African actress.

Biography
Born Elizabeth Szymczak, she grew up in Zambia and South Africa.
She began her career in the 1970s in Cape Town, where she was a company member for CAPAB.
After a 12-year absence she reappeared on stage in 1989.
She is married to Nicholas Ellenbogen and is a founder member of Theatre for Africa They have three children, including the theatremaker Luke Ellenbogen.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Stage productions she has taken part in include: Julius Caesar (with CAPAB), The Playboy of the Western World (with CAPAB, 1976), Blithe Spirit (with CAPAB, 1976), Present Laughter (1989), Goodbye, Mr Chips (1994-5), The Captain, the Corporal and the Courtesan (2002), Nell in Endgame (2010), Old Kit Bag (2014), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2018).
She played the part of Monica in Nicholas Ellenbogen and Koos Roets's local feature film The Angel, the Bicycle and the Chinaman's Finger (1992).
In 2013 she and her husband, Nicholas, and son, Luke, opened The Rosebank Theatre in Cape Town.

She has won awards for her performance in plays such as Kloof Eagle.
Nomination Best Supporting Actress M-Net Awards 1993.
Nominated for Fleur du Cap Best supporting Actress for Endgame as "Nell", Feb 2011. (The Star, 9 February 2011).
