Die Storie van Klara Viljee is a film by Katinka Heyns (1947-).

The film

The film depicts the life of Klara Viljee, a girl in a small fishing village, who loses her father and her fiancé at sea. The film received positive reviews and won several awards at international film festivals.

Written and produced by Chris Barnard, directed by Katinka Heyns, with Anna-Mart van der Merwe, Regardt van den Bergh, Hennie Oosthuizen and Trix Pienaar in the leading roles.

The rest of the cast consisted of Lida Botha, Wilma Stockenström, Gavin van den Berg, Michelle Scott, André Rossouw, Sandra Kotzé, Cobus Visser, Lyndsey Yssel, Goliath Davids, Johan Botha, Flip Theron, Marko van der Colff, Nic de Jager, Herman Pretorius, Dicky Claassen, Danielle Roets, Dawie Maritz, Tony de Villiers, Liza de Villiers and Elisabeth Storm.

Cinematography by Koos Roets, edited by Ronelle Loots, music by Sue Grealy,
