Langerman (or Langermann) is a surname that occurs a number of times in 19th centruy Cape Town theatre.
There is some confusion about the Cape Town family Langerman (or Langermann) and their relationship to the Cape theatre, for Bosman (1928) also lists a J. Langerman or simply refers to Langerman, while his 1980 book refers to a Langermann as a member of the company Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst (1849-1855).

For example he played the leads in both Incle en Yariko and De Dronkaard (31 October, 1835), as well as "Aballino" in Aballino Junior, of De Kleine Bandiet (De Lima) and "M. Morbleu" in Monsieur Tonson (Moncrieff) on 21 November 1835, repeated on 31 November 1835 by the same company.
