Vane Bennett was the the pseudonym used by the well-known British actor, playwright, stage and theatre manager and biographer Sutton Vane Snr (1847–1913) for his publications, most notably in the case of his biography of the actor-manager Disney Roebuck, entitled the Biographical and Memorial Sketch of Francis Algernon Disney Roebuck, Late Capt. 23rd Royal Welsh Fusiliers (Cape Town: Saul Solomon and Co.)
