Probably the same person sometimes referred to as Mr Wannenburg by F.C.L. Bosman (1928)

A Mr Wannenburg is mentioned as a member of the Dutch society Tot Nut en Vermaak in Cape Town between 1843 and 1857, while a G. Wannenburg is named as a member of and actor for the Kamer de Eendracht ("chamber of unity") in Cape Town in the years 1876-1883, the latter a society bearing the motto "Door Oefening wordt de kunst verkregen" ("art is attained through practice").
