The Ride across Lake Constance is a translation by Michael Roloff of the play Der Ritt über den Bodensee by Austrian novelist and playwright Peter Handke [1] (born 1942).

1983: Presented by the University of Cape Town at the National Arts Festival Student Drama in 1983. Lighting, set design (with Claire Berein) and directed by Gary Carter. Costumes designed by Claire Berein, stage manager Katrin auf der Heyde, assisted by Sandi Schultz. The cast: Rachel Browne, David Dennis, David Clatworthy, Belinda Koning, Kevin Smith, Jennifer Steyn, Rayne Hindle, Michelle Botes.
