W.P. Cox (fl. 1870's) was a British Christy's style singer and performer.

He was apparently attached to the St James Hall, London, and a member of the touring Harvey-Dougherty-Leslie-Braham Minstrels, that visited the Cape Colony for a set of three seasons, between November 1872 and the end of 1874.

In 1875 he and J. Truro presented a series of "Entertainments" in the Good Hope Gardens, Cape Town, when they were billed as Cox and Truro.

In 1876 his name reappears when he appears in Kimberley as one part of the Cox-Paulton Company. , of which Sutton Vane was also a member.
