Soekie is an Afrikaans film

Based on the novel Die Hele Dorp Weet ("The whole town knows") by Santie Grosskopf, it tells of a girl who goes in search of her father after the parents decide to divorce and explores the devastating effects of a divorce on a family.

The film produced by Bill Troskie for Constantia Films in 1975. The screenplay was by Santie Groskopf and Daan Retief, the film directed by Daan Retief with a cast that included Erna van der Bergh, Petru Wessels, Dawid van der Walt and Wena Naudé.


This was the second time the novel had been filmed, the first version, called Die Hele Dorp Weet, was made in 1961 by Carfo films.
