Good Gracious, Annabelle is a romantic farce comedy in three acts play by American composer, lyricist and playwright Clare Kummer (1873-1958)[1].

Also found as Good Gracious, Annabelle! (in Englad) or Goodness Gracious, Annabelle (in Australia and South Africa ?)

The original text

Written in 1916, the play opened at the Theatre Republic, New York, on 31 October, 1916 and ran for 111 performances till 1 February, 1917. It was performed in London as Good Gracious, Annabelle! at the Duke of York's Theatre in 1922-1923.

The text was published by Samuel French, New York, in 1922. The musical score was published in New York by McCarthy & Fisher, ©1919.

Translations and adaptations

The play was turned into a musical and produced in New York by Florenz Ziegfield in 1924, but failed.
