De Assurantie ("the assurance") is a humorous monologue in Dutch by Melt J. Brink (1842-1925).

1910: Performed (read) by the author on 8 November in the A.N.V. Saal, Cape Town (the hall of the Het Algemeen Nederlands Verbond hall) under the auspices of Aurora III, an afterpiece to the one-act plays Bekroond (Bosch) and Een Gevaarlijke Sujet (Franzen). The Prime Minister, Gen. Louis Botha and the Minister of Education, F.S. Malan were the patrons for the evening.
