Tonya graduated from Wits Drama School.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She launched into her acting career with a singing/dancing and understudy role in Janice Honeyman's Jack and the Beanstalk, followed by a role in PACT's school tour of People We Call Parents.


She starred in Kevin Feather’s The Doowah Girls at the Richard Haines Theatre in 1993.

Her one-woman show Divas to a T at the Backstage Theatre at the Royal Hotel, Durban in 2000 was a tribute to the great ladies of song: Shirley Bassey, Miriam Makeba, etc.
