Monet, Directeur de l'Opéra-Comique is a comedy in one act by Pierre-Yon Barré, Jean-Baptiste Radet and François-Georges Desfontaines.


The original text

First performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville, Paris, in 1802 and published in Paris by Barba in 1802.

Performance history in South Africa

1803: Possibly performed as Le Directeur de Comedie by Monsieur Delemery and members of the Het Fransche Liefhebbery Geselschap ("The French Amateur Company") in the African Theatre, Cape Town on 29 October, 1803, with Pigmalion (Rousseau).
