The Young Men’s Institute Amateur Christy’s was a popular amateur dramatic society in the Cape during the late 1860s.


The players of the Young Men’s Institute in Cape Town called themselves the Amateur Christy’s and performed from 1867 to 1870. Informally known as Christy's Minstrels
