Biography

He hails from Port Elizabeth

Training

He attended several workshops in Port Elizabeth presented by John Kani and Winston Ntshona which included The Island and Sizwe Bansi is Dead. He strudied drama at UCT, graduating in 1991.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared in The Winter's Tale, No-Good Friday, The Tempest, Trumpets and Raspberries, Mrs Kaplan and the Witchdoctor (his debut in professional theatre)..

As a student he appeared in The Crucible, Twelfth Night, and Woza Albert!.

He wrote the plays People Like Us (NELM [Collection: ARTSCAPE]: 2006. 38. 148) and Dumezweni (NELM [Collection: Baxter Archives]: 2003. 54. 92).

Directed Lobola at the Baxter Theatre circa 1998. (Cape Times 20 Aug 2004).

Awards

He received the CODS Bursary Award for most promising student (UCT) in 1990.
