Wunder um Verdun ("Miracle at Verdun"), is a German play by Hans von Chlumberg (1897 - 1930)[1].


The original text

A pacifist play about World War 1, it was first performed in Leipzig in October, 1930.

Published in Berlin by S. Fischer Verlag, 1931.

Translations

Translated into English as Miracle at Verdun by Julian Leigh

First performed in English at the Martin Beck Theatre New York on 16 March 1931.

South African productions

1939: Performed in English at the Pioneer Theatre, Johannesburg, directed and designed by Leo Kerz.
