Willie Herbst (1929-1998). Actor, theatre administrator.

Biography

He died in Pretoria in June 1998, aged 69.

Career

Willie started his acting career with Elsa Fouché Geselskap, where he later became lead actor and manager. He joined Anton Ackermann Company, of which he became the owner.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He acted in the films Hans die Skipper Satanskoraal, Voor Sononder, Hou die Blink Kant Bo and Inspan.
