by H.W. Teengs. A 4-act tragedy dealing with an epsode out of the history of the Border farmers (1815-1835). A locally written Dutch play, it was performed in July 1868 in Cape Town by Aurora, with Teengs's local Dutch afterpiece Opstand 1815 ("Rebellion 1815"). This was followed by a second performance later the same month in Paarl, with the farce Niet of Graag as afterpiece. They also did it in Wynberg (August 1869, afterpiece Tante Trui’’ - i.e. "Aunt Pullover") and Bloemfontein under the auspices of President J.H. Brand in 8 July 1869.
