Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee. First produced in South Africa by Taubie Kushlick in 1963,  though it was subject to textual amendations before being allowed. Starred American actors Jerome Kilty, Cavada Humphrey and Fred Sadoff, and English actress Karel [?*] Gardner. It was set to play at the Port Elizabeth City Hall, an Indian theatre in Durban and the University Great Hall in Johannesburg, but controversy over the blasphemous language saw an early close for the production. Other productions include **, and the Baxter Theatre in 2007 (directed by Janice Honeyman with Fiona Ramsay, Sean Taylor, Nicholas Pauling and Erica Wessels) (See Gosher, 1988; Tucker, 1997)
