Career

He has worked in the theatre as a technician since the mid-1960s and has in that time been involved in nearly every department, from ballet to opera to drama. He has been based with PACT’s Afrikaans Drama Company in the 1980s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He often played small roles on the stage but his first speaking role was in the Marius Weyers production of Poppie. He has also appeared in the Christmas pantomime Robinson Crusoe and in Ek, Anna van Wyk (1985), Fluit vir die Vlieë as Swartbooi, PACT 1987, and as a watchman in an Afrikaans production of Pantagleize in 1988. Stage designer Sizwe Bansi is Dead 2006.
