Walter Mony (1929-2009) [1] was a Canadian-born musician, conductor and educator. He was head of the Music Department at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Biography

Born in Canad, he was trained as musician.

He became the head of the Music Department at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He conducted the orchestra of the 1988 production of The Gypsy Baron in The Wits Theatre
