Walter J. Brooks (fl. 1880s) was an actor.

Biography

While little is known of his life, he is listed as a performer at the Adelphi Theatre, London, in 1881-2, [1], inter alia playing "Earl Rivers" in The Double Rose (17 June, 1882) and "Sir William Hastings" in The Kingmaker (15 April 1882-7 Jun 1882).[2], both plays by J. Wimsett Boulding.[3]

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He visited South Africa in 1882, as a member of the Mabel Hayes company, inter alia appearing in the Theatre Royal Cape Town.
